The son of Kendor, who stands at Haras de Colleville, has made a big impact on the track through his progeny in recent years despite covering small books in the years following his retirement.

His leading performers include dual Group winner Restiadargent and Prix Eclipse winner Kendam, both belonging to his first crop of just 19.

The following crop, numbering 52, included Kenhope, a Group 3 winner who finished second to Sky Lantern in the Coronation Stakes before topping last year's Arqana Arc sale when fetching €900,000 from Patrick Barbe on behalf of owner Dr Cyrus Poonawalla.

This season his leading performers include Group 3 Prix du Bois winner Goken, Kenhope, and the Listed-winning juveniles Kenouska and Kenfreeze.

Kendargent's 2014 fee of €15,000 was more than double his 2013 fee of €6,000, which was up from €4,000 the year before and €1,000 in 2011.

Haras de Colleville is owned by Guy Pariente, whose colours were carried by Kendargent during his career on the track, during which time he won the Prix Bacchus, a minor race over a mile at Maisons-Laffitte, and an allowance race at Hollywood Park in the US.
