The great Frankel has given Galileo his third G1 winner of 2012, joining Sydney Cup winner Niwot and South African champion Igugu.

Galileo has sired 27 G1 winners in total with six , including Frankel, Roderic O'Connor and Maybe, bred on the magical Galileo - Danehill cross.

The question now is whether Frankel will cope with an increase to 10f, but his pedigree says the distance should hold no fears for him.

While his dam Kind is by Danehill, she is out of Lancashire Oaks winner Rainbow Lake and her first foal Bullet Train, by Galileo's sire Sadler's Wells, won the Lingfield Derby Trial over 1m3½f and her third foal Noble Mission (Galileo) won the Listed Newmarket Stakes over 10 earlier this year.

In addition she is a half-brother Powerscourt (Sadler's Wells), who won up to 10f in the Great Voltigeur Stakes, Tattersalls Gold Cup and Arlington Million.
