Pocket Power Relations In South African Sale

Close relatives of South African legend Pocket Power will be on offer at the 2012 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Bloodstock South Africa will conduct this year's sale over two days on April 27 and 29 with Champions Day at Turffontein taking place on April 28.

Pocket Power was a R190,000 yearling buy and in his career earned more than R9 million in prize money. He won the prestigious G1 Queen's Plate four times and took the G1 J&B Met three years in a row.

His relatives in this sale include a son of Kahal out of four-time winner Maximum Break.

The dam is a half-sister to Pocket Power and his J&B Met winning sister River Jetez, second last year in both the Dubai Duty Free and the Singapore Airlines International Cup.

Another is a colt by leading sire Dynasty out of the two-time winner Siberian Wonder, by champion sire Western Winter.

The colt's granddam, Karee Karee, is a half-sister to dual broodmare of the year Stormsvlei, the dam of Pocket Power and River Jetez.

Pocket Power's late sire Jet Master will also be represented at 2012 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale by 17 yearlings.

Among Jet Master's outstanding progeny are Pocket Power, River Jetez, Ebony Flyer, Mythical Flight and JJ The Jet Plane.
