The catalogue for the Deauville October yearling sale, which will take place from October 17 to October 20 has again been divided in to two graded parts with the yearlings catalogued alphabetically.
Part 1 will take place on October 17 and 18, comprising 266 lots. Both sessions will offer 133 lots.
National Hunt bred yearlings, which used to be catalogued on the Wednesday, will now be included in the new Autumn Mixed Sale to be held on November 14 -15 in Deauville.
The catalogue offers yearlings from the leading European sires, such as Anabaa, Cape Cross, Dalakhani, Danehill Dancer, Dansili, Dark Angel, Dubawi, Giant's Causeway, High Chaparral, Hurricane Run, Invincible Spirit, King's Best, Lando, Lawman, Montjeu, Oasis Dream, Peintre Celebre, Rock of Gibraltar and Shamardal.
64 yearlings are by first crop sires, including Astronomer Royal, Duke of Marmalade, Falco, Hannouma, Henrythenavigator, Linngari, Literato, Mount Nelson and Tamayuz.
Over 31% of the Part 1 yearlings are out of black type mares, against 34%
in August 2010, 9% are out of Group winners and 34% of the yearlings are first or second foals.
Amongst the dams with foals of racing age, 47% have already produced a black type performer.
