His notable effort was a third in the G1 Underwood Stakes at Caulfield behind Foreteller and Happy Trails for the Lindsay park stable.
Shamardal has proven to be a successful sire of sires, most notably through his French Derby winning son Lope de Vega who shuttled to Australia for four seasons.Lope de Vega has made his mark in spectacular fashion as the sire, his current progeny including high class sprinter Vega Magic, brilliant winner of the G1 Memsie Stakes and second in the $10 million The Everest.
Crackerjack King is one of 110 stakes-winners sired by Shamardal, whose has been prominent in Australia as the sire of G1 winners Faint Perfume, Delectation, Captain Sonador and Maybe Discreet and the Australian-bred Hong Kong champion Able Friend.Crackrjack King’s female pedigree is top shelf as he is a half-brother to G1 winners Jakkalberry and Awelmarduk and stakes-winners Kidnapping and Joyful Hope.
