The first foal out of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner is a son of Curlin
Stonestreet announced on Friday that 2017 Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m) winner Houtzen (I Am Invincible) has foaled her first foal, a colt by Curlin (Smart Strike).
Houtzen won seven of her career starts and over $2 million in prize money and in addition to her Magic Millions 2YO Classic victory she won the PJ Bell Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) in 2018 and 2017 Champagne Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) and was bought by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings for US$1.5 million at last year’s Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
Stonestreet tweeted on Friday: “The first foal for Magic Millions heroine HOUTZEN (AUS) is this handsome colt by CURLIN! Does his blaze look familiar?”
Curlin’s 2021 fee at Hill ‘N’ Dale in Kentucky is advertised at US$175,000.
