Restored Order wins at Saratoga
Darley Stud shuttler Frosted (Tapit) chalked up his third first-crop winner at Saratoga on Saturday as the Todd Pletcher-trained Restored Order (2 c ex Taboo by Forestry) ran out an impressive winner over eight and a half furlongs.
Having his third career start, the two-year-old colt finished two lengths ahead of Hidden Enemy (Galileo), while Hardison (Tapit) finished another four and a quarter lengths further back in third.
The colt was purchased by Kings Equine for US$115,000 at the 2019 Fasig Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale before being bought up by Repole Stable for US$420,000 at the Ocala Select 2YO Sale earlier this year.
Restored Order is out of winning Forestry (Storm Cat) mare Taboo, making him a half-brother to four winners including stakes-placed pair Der Lu (Orb) and Smartly Agree (Smart Strike).
Taboo herself is a daughter of Grade 1 winner Dream Of Summer (Siberian Summer), who in turn also produced Grade 1 winners Vexatious (Giant’s Causeway) and Creative Cause (Giant’s Causeway) and Grade 2 scorer Destin (Giant’s Causeway).
The son of Tapit (Pulpit) has shuttled to Australia for three seasons where he has covered 288 mares and he is covering his fourth book of mares at Darley’s Northwood Park base in Victoria for a fee of $22,000 (inc GST).
