Perfect Power (Ardad), winner of this year's Group 1 Commonwealth Cup (6f) at Royal Ascot, has been retired from racing and will stand at Darley's Dalham Hall stud next year.

Trained by Richard Fahey, Perfect Power retires the winner of six of his 12 career starts which included the Group 1 Prix Morny (6f) at Deauville and Group 1 Middle Park Stakes (6f) at Newmarket as a juvenile.

"It is a rare opportunity for British breeders to have access to a stallion with such precocity and speed," said Darley's Sam Bullard.

"His powers of acceleration are exactly the sort of thing that makes our sport so thrilling. What's more, he's a fantastically muscular colt, and an especially good mover: he is very likely to throw commercial youngstock in his own speedy image."
