Growing Empire raced to the head of Coolmore Stud Stakes markets with his stunning Group 3 McNeil Stakes win at Caulfield last Saturday and if he does go on to win a Group 1 it won't be the first time a member of the family has had an impact at the highest level in Australia.

The Ciaron Maher-trained son of Zoustar is out of the Group 2 placegetter Miles Of Krishan, who is closely related to a mare who threw a number of top-level sprinters for the Joe Pride stable.

Miles Of Krishan is out of the Gold Brose mare Nishaani, who is a sister to Parfore.

She, of course, was the dam of not only two-time Group 1 winner and one-time World's Highest-Rated Sprinter, Terravista, but also The Galaxy winner Tiger Tees and Ball Of Muscle, a four-time Group 2 winner who placed in a Moir Stakes.

Parfore is also the dam of dual Singapore Horse of the Year, Super Easy.

Growing Empire is the second foal from Nishaani, a daughter of Snitzel whose only other to race is Dancing Alone, a five-year-old daughter of I Am Invincible who has won six of 10 starts and was last seen running fourth in the Group 3 Toy Show Quality on August 24.

Dancing Alone cost $1.4 million at the 2021 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, with Yulong having paid half that amount for Growing Empire at the corresponding sale two years later.

Growing Empire's McNeil Stakes success was his third win in a row, following Group 3 Breeders Stakes (1200m) success in Adelaide and Listed St Albans Stakes (1200m) success at Moonee Valley.

His only other start realised a narrow debut defeat on the Randwick Kensington track in February.

After Growing Empire, Miles Of Krishan had a sister to Dancing Alone, who is now two, and last year foaled a Zoustar filly who is a sister to Growing Empire.

She will not have a foal this spring after missing to I Am Invincible on a late cover last year.
