A look at the top performers for last season’s leading stallion I Am Invincible
I Am Invincible continued his march towards recognition as one of Australia's all-time great stallions when he completed a hat-trick of Australian Champion Sire of awards.
The son of Invincible Spirit joins Snitzel as the only sires to win three-straight leading sire by prizemoney awards since the last of Danehill's wins in 2005 and set a new Australian prizemoney record in the process.
From 375 starters he had 175 winners claim a total of 291 races for total prizemoney of $32,162,170, which was the first time an Australian stallion cracked the $30m barrier.
Second in this year's award was Zoustar ($24,034,954) with So You Think ($21,301,022) and Pride Of Dubai ($21,263,851) the others with progeny to amass more than $20m in earnings.
I Am Invincible's Group 1 winner for the season was Imperatriz, who won at the highest-level five times, while that daughter of Shamardal mare Berimbau was also his highest-rated product on the Timeform scale at 124.
That ranked her among the top 10 horses in the country and the second highest-rated mare of the season behind only Pride Of Jenni (129).
Imperatriz was one of three products of I Am Invincible to win six races for the season, while he had another two horses win five times – including Buillt, who won at Doomben on Wednesday's final day of the season – and six horses win four races.
Buillt is trained by Chris Waller, who won 26 races with products of the Yarraman Park stallion for the season, once fewer than Tony Gollan who was the most successful trainer with I Am Invincible progeny.
