Super One sired his first winner when Superbellaa made a winning debut in the 1300tempfence 2YO Handicap at Canberra.
Newgate Stud-based first season stallion Super One (I Am Invincible) sired his first winner on Friday when Superbellaa (2 f ex Imananabaa by Anabaa) made a winning debut in the 1300tempfence 2YO Handicap (1000m) at Canberra.
The two-year-old filly, who was third starter for the stallion, was purchased for $25,000 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale by her trainer Lee Curtis from the Newgate Farm draft.
The filly becomes the fifth winner out of Anabaa (Danzig) mare Imananabaa, who won five races including the Railway Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m).
The filly's third dam is three-time-winning Born Rich (Beau Sovereign) the dam of Group 2 winner Born Priceless (Pricelessly), while Born Rich is the grandam of stakes-winning trio The Heavyweight (Zediative), Happy Strike (Gold Fever) and Born Western (Western Symphony), who is herself the grandam of Listed-winning pair Malibu Style (Magnus) and Excelorada (Exceed And Excel).
Super One covered 168 mares in 2019 and has stood at Newgate Farm for $11,000 (inc GST) in all four seasons at stud.
The son of I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) has 19 yearlings catalogued at next month's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, while he has two yearlings set to be offered at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
