ROSEHILL SATURDAY
RACE 3 (4) CLEARLY INOCENT: Scone-trained three-year-old returns to the city for his second crack at a TAB Highway event after a luckless sixth over 1100m at Randwick two weeks ago. Previously unbeaten in two country starts, he was heavily backed to extend his record but no luck getting a clear run after finding himself hopeless locked away over the last 400m. Has to be given another chance from the rails draw with a big riding switch to the in-form Brenton Avdulla.RACE 4 (7) MARY LOU: Anthony Cummings has this mare ready to peak at her fourth start since resuming after strong placings at her last two starts against similar opposition at Rosehill and Randwick. She had excuses last start when she just failed to peg back the tough Caped Crusader over 1600m at Randwick and won’t have to find much improvement on that effort to go one better this time.
RACE 9 (14) PACEMAN: It’s been a while coming but his strong last start win at Canterbury at his second start for new trainer Joe Pride indicates he is now ready to deliver on the potential he showed when he first appeared as a 2YO. Led easily and had no trouble extenjding under 58.5kg for a comfortable win. This is a step up but with only 53kg should take some running down.BLACKBOOK UPDATE
