Sydney Specials: Rosehill - 4th June 2022

Certainly not easy at Rosehill this weekend, few races that look very trappy and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few form turnarounds with the likely firmer track.

The Bjorn Baker trained Lady Of Luxury was a real eye catcher first up and looks well placed to go a couple better in the sixth event.

A sectional star to finish third behind Mariamia, she is expected to show good improvement second up and is likely to settle much closer.

A few key scratchings swing the race firmly in her favour with And We Danced the main danger.

The latter looks well set up on the quick back up and if they do look to be positive early, she may take some beating, however given what Lady Of Luxury produced first up, she is the one you want to be with.

The Chris Waller trained Wicklow created quite the impression in his first Australian campaign and is a big watch in his return on Saturday.

A winner of three of his four starts for the Waller stable, he was last seen in similar company, finishing third behind Steely.

He was sent out the 5/4 favourite and simply slipped them too much rope when closing off well late.

This doesn't appear any harder and felt he trialled well enough with McDonald in the saddle.

On what he produced in his first Australian preparation he looks destined for better company and while having close to a year off, trust the stable to have him forward enough.

The inside draw should allow him to be close enough in the run and with clear air, he should prove hard to hold out.

Either way he is a horse to follow, he'll be winning more races.
