Launda Sion scores at Listed level in Tokyo for former Arrowfield shuttler.
Former Arrowfield Stud shutter Real Impact (Deep Impact) was handed his first stakes winner on Saturday when Lauda Sion (3 c ex Antiphona by Songandaprayer) landed the Crocus Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at Tokyo.
The colt won twice as a juvenile and also finished third in the Nisai Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) and he had no issues bagging his first stakes win, pulling away from his rivals in the final strides.
Lauda Sion is one of three winners and first stakes scorer out of Antiphona (Songandaprayer), while she also produced Listed-placed Ambrosio (Rose Kingdom), who finished runner-up in the same Listed race two years ago.
His third dam is Christmas Star (Star de Naskra) who produced Grade 1 winner Cuvee (Carson City) and Grade 2 winner Will He Shine (Silver Deputy).
Real Impact, who has sired 17 winners in total, shuttled to Arrowfield Stud for three seasons but did not return in 2019.
The stallion, who stands at Shadai Stallion Station in Japan, has seven lots catalogued at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and four lots catalogued at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
