Salios remained unbeaten in the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes at Hanshin.
10th Grade 1 winner for Heart's Cry. Shadai Stallion Station-based Heart's Cry sired his 10th Grade 1 winner on Sunday when Salios remained unbeaten in the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes at Hanshin. Ridden by British-based jockey Ryan Moore, the 2-year-old colt won the Saudi Arabia Royal Cup (Grade 3) at his previous start, having broken his maiden on debut in June.
"He was a lovely horse. The track ran very fast, but he's a colt that's not short-paced and he was still very green on the turn so he should run even faster in the future. He's a big powerful colt and when I sat on him you get the impression that he's very strong already, but he should improve and be even better as he gets older being the size that he is and hopefully he'll carry on," said Ryan Moore.
On Sunday, Salios beat Taisei Vision, a son of Turtle Bowl, by 2 and a half lengths with Gran Rey third.
Heat's Cry's other Group / Grade 1 winners include the Caulfield Cup winner Admire Rakti as well as this year's Cox Plate winner Lys Gracieux.
