Day Three of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival saw two former football managers take centre-stage with Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp record their first victories at The Festival.

Legendary Manchester United manager Ferguson broke his duck at the meeting with a glorious double courtesy of Monmiral (Pertemps) and Protektorat (Ryanair Chase).

FA Cup winning boss Redknapp also landed a first win at The Festival following Shakem Up'Arry's tremendous performance in the TrustATrader Plate.

Elsewhere, Jeremy Scott enjoyed his first success at the meeting with Golden Ace running out an impressive winner of the Mares' Novice Hurdle, whilst Gordon Elliott enjoyed his first success at this year's meeting following Teahupoo's win in the feature Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle.

Dan and Harry Skelton took their tally to the week to four winners with Protektorat's Ryanair heroics supplemented by Grey Dawning's success in the opening Turners Novices' Chase.
