Betfair Australia has back flipped on its decision to offer online markets on Hong Kong racing to its global account holders.

Betfair has confirmed that it will offer exchange betting on all Hong Kong race meetings from the start of the new season on September 1, becoming the first corporate operator licensed in Australia to challenge the Hong Kong Jockey Club's intellectual property rights.

The races are all named in honour of former Chairmen of the HKJC, with the feature being race 9, the Chan Trophy.
