Gandy back to business

After a European holiday it’s back to work with plenty to do for trainer Stuart Gandy as the racing season starts to ramp up. Gandy has plenty on his plate, taking care of his sizeable team both at Broadmarsh and Brighton. Also included in his duties is readying his promising 3yo Geegees Mistruth and WFA prospect Geegees Gemstone for mainland spring campaigns.

Gandy knows the truth with 2YOs

Brighton-trainer Stuart Gandy has earned a reputation as a master of early-season two-year-olds, so it’s no surprise he will saddle up one of the main fancies in Sunday’s Listed Kevin Sharkie Elwick Stakes (1100m).

Bay of dreams

He may be a 3yo who has just won his fourth race but Cornelian Bay looms as a horse for the future. It’s not how many races he has won but the way he goes about it. At both his starts this campaign, Cornelian Bay ($4.60 to $3.40) has looked susceptible but he’s found a way, mainly through his explosive burst of speed.
