Tottenham are one of two unbeaten teams left in the Premier League this season and they will be expected to maintain that status when they host bottom-of-the-table Leicester City.
While their league record remains unblemished, manager Antonio Conte was left incandescent after his side conceded two stoppage-time goals in a 2-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.
The Italian has underlined his team’s recent struggles in front of goal and warned that no one is undroppable.
While Harry Kane has enjoyed a strong start to his Premier League campaign with five goals in six games, the same cannot be said about Son Heung-min, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura.
The quartet have scored just one league goal between them since the start of the new season.
Despite those grim numbers, Tottenham have kicked off the campaign in fine style and currently sit third in the table – just one point adrift of league leaders Arsenal.
Spurs have won three of their last four Premier League outings and boast one of the strongest defences having conceded just five goals.
The same cannot be said of their upcoming opponents, Leicester City.
Brendan Rodgers is enduring perhaps the toughest period in his professional career having kicked off the league season with five defeats and one draw.
Interestingly, Leicester don’t have a major problem finding the back of the net, having scored eight goals – the same as Manchester United and Chelsea. However, their Achilles heel appears to be keeping other teams out.
The Foxes have already conceded 16 goals this season and the visit of Kane certainly won’t give them any comfort.
Leicester are Kane’s favourite opposition, having scored 19 goals against them in 18 matches. Though if you are backing the England captain to score, it’s best to do so in the second half considering the Foxes have conceded nine of their 16 goals this season after the 60th-minute mark.
As well as keeping an eye on Kane, our recommendation is to back a Spurs win and over 2.5 goals. This bet has landed in six of the last nine head-to-heads between these clubs.
