Former NZ based galloper Rock 'n' Pop has been well found by punters in early betting having opened at $7.50 the son of Fastnet Rock has been steadily supported and is now as low as $4.80.

Now trained in Sydney by champion trainer Gai Waterhouse, Rock 'n' Pop looks destined for a big spring campaign and his two recent barrier trial wins have many thinking he can make a winning start to life at Tulloch Lodge on Saturday.

The Graeme Begg trained mare Secret Admirer has been well supported from her opening quote of $8.00, with a reported string of each-way bets at that price seeing her turned in to a current price of $7.00.

The mare has been in the placings in each of her three first-up runs in the past and on the back of two trials this time in is expected to be forward for her seasonal reappearance on Saturday.

The David Vandyke trained Lamasery has been specked at longer odds. He too has impressed in recent trials and appears to have returned from an injury forced layoff in good order.

Despite words of caution from the Moody yard his classy staying mare Lights of Heaven is another being specked, in from $8.00 to $7.00 at this point in time.

Earlier in the card another Moody runner, Moment of Change has been well supported in the listed Show County Quality with his main danger, at least in the view of punters, the top weight Monton who is first up from a spell following a good autumn campaign.

Boom Patinack Farm filly Nechita is all the rage in the Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes. Backed to the exclusion of all other runners she is now into $1.95 after $2.20 was originally bet.
