Nash Rambler looks on track to ensure Randwick trainer Robert Pearse finishes the racing season with a bang after an impressive salute at Gosford on Wednesday afternoon.

It was just Pearse's third winner of the season but his daughter of Caulfield Cup winner Diatribe suggested there was plenty more to come over the winter as she put paid to a fillies and mares Benchmark 75 (1100m) field.
Ignored on track, Nash Rambler jumped a 17-1 shot and emerging jockey Brenton Avdulla steered the four-year-old straight to the lead from the widest gate.
At the top of the straight she kicked away from the previously unbeaten Rushing To Win, and never looked like being run down. What A Treat ran on late to grab third.
“The alley worried me when I first saw the acceptances but once it was wet here I thought it brings her back into it,” Pearse said.
“She doesn't mind the cut in the ground. She's the most honest horse in the stable, gives her all every start.
“I'd like a couple more for this owner because he's been loyal. She's honest and he's a solid owner.”
Nash Rambler was responsible for Pearse's other metropolitan winner this year. That came two starts back in a two-horse race at Warwick Farm.
Elusive Diva's win in a provincial maiden last month was the only other time Pearse had tasted success this year.
But should Nash Rambler find some more soft ground, that total will likely inflate.
She was unlucky resuming earlier this month when sixth to Gai's Choice who won again at Rosehill on Saturday by six lengths.
Avdulla said Nash Rambler continually puts herself in winning positions.
“She's just a real little momentum horse, she doesn't quicken much but she just rolls at that nice tempo,” Avdulla said.
“She's a little mare that I've always got along with. Bobby's done a super job with her and she ran super first-up I thought she should've only been beaten a length.”
It was a tough day for punters at Gosford with Gerald Ryan two-year-old Centrepet the only favourite to return as a winner.
