Morphettville Parks Races Review - 2nd December 2017

Patrons were treated to a tight finish when cruising was declared the winner of the opening event which was run over 1250 metres on the Parks track at Morpehttville on Saturday.

Prepared by Bill Bogarts and having the services of Jason Holder, Cruising was in the first two throughout the event which brought up his second successive Parks victory.

After running two placings on the Parks track Made In Russia brought up his first win when he took out the 1300 metre second race.

Giving Jamie Kah her fifteenth win from twenty-nine rides the Tony McEvoy prepared Made In Russia came from a rearward position with a strong run over the concluding stages to win convincingly.

The impressive Sudden Wealth continued in a winning mode when it brought up successive wins in the 1250 metre third race.

Being under the care of Will Clarken and ridden by Todd Pannell Sudden Wealth came from the rear of the field with a strong outside run.

Returning to racing after a month lay-off apprentice Justin Huxtable rode Ozi Choice to victory in the 1400 metre fourth race.

Coming out of the Ballarat stable of Darren Weir Ozi Choice led all the way.

Caulfield trainer Stewart Webb was well pleased with the win of his charge Get The Picture in the 1950 metre fifth race.

Guided to victory by Dom Tourneur Get The Picture raced in the back half of the field before coming with a wide run to bring up win number three from twenty starts.

Jamie Kah brought up her second winner for the day when she steered Exalted Lightning to a win in the 2250 metre sixth race.

Prepared by Grant Young at Murray Bridge Exalted Lightning was well placed.

Hoop Jason Holder landed his second victory for the afternoon when Oamaru Owl took out the 1000 metre seventh race.

Being under the care of veteran Strathalbyn trainer Brian Mueller Oamaru Owl settled in third position before making his move 200 metres from home.

Todd Pannell joined the list of double winning jockeys when he steered Embecee Lil to a win in the 1400 metre final event.

Trained by Ryan Balfour Embecee Lil came from a near last position with a strong run over the last few hundred metres.
