Hoop Matthew Neilson returned to the city winner’s list in dashing style when he guided Eclair Sunshine in the 1050 metre in the opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.
Being under the care of Phillip Stokes and having its first run after a spell Eclair Sunshine came from last with a strong run in the straight.
Extending the lead of the Macdonald/Gluyas training combination Pretty Punk came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.
Clare Lindop drew level with Jamie Kah on the jockey’s premiership when Gogo Grace gave her a double in the 1600 metre third race.Supplying Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas with a double early in the day Gogo Grace came on the outside of the pack with a strong run over the concluding stages of the event.
Appreciating the change in tracks from Parks to the main track, Chosen Angel too out the 2003 metre fourth race.Prepared by Marilyn Smith and ridden by Jason Holder Chosen Angel came from a worse than midfield position with a very strong run over the concluding stages.
Jockey Jason Holder brought up a race to race double when he rode Time Out to victory in the 1100 metre fifth race.Trained on the track by Richard Jolly and winning his second race from twelve starts Time Out settled well and maintained a forward position before going on to win.
Mr Liberty was another winner to appreciate the change in track when he took out the 1600 metre sixth race.Being under the care of Nick Smart and guided to victory by Shayne Cahill Mr Liberty came from a worse than midfield position with a strong run to take the event.
Trainer Phillip Stokes brought up his second win for the day when Snake Charmer took out the 1200 metre seventh race.
Having the services of Stokes’ apprentice Emily Finnegan Snake Charmer was well back in the middle stages before coming with a strong run late in the event.Consistency paid off when Tempting Faith brought up win number four from twenty-six starts in the 1050 metre final event.
Prepared Alex Stra, Tempting Faith settled in a forward position before going on to win.
