After suffering a fall at track work a week ago Anna Jordsjo bounced back to the winner’s stall when she rode Figurehead to victory in the 1950 metre opening race on the Parks track at Morphettville on Wednesday.
Unfortunately her good fortune was short lived as she parted company with her mount Artful Jack some metres past the post in race 5 and injured her left arm.
The Phillip Stokes trained Battle Hardened brought up a hat trick of wins when she won the 1250metre second race.
Guided to victory by Stokes’ apprentice Emily Finnegan Battle Hardened held down a prominent place throughout the event.The four year old mare Amintire brought up her first win from eleven starts when she took out the 1250 metre third race.
Bred, mentored and part owned by Ken Sweeney and guided to victory by Todd Pannell Amintire was well placed throughout.Trainer Phillip Stokes and his apprentice Emily Finnegan scored a mid-meeting double when Grand chancellor took out the 1400 metre fourth race.
Having its first outing in SA Grand Chancellor came from well back and ran on nicely to take the event.Jamie Kah added another winner to her metropolitan tally when she rode Lucky Lucky Eight to a win in the 1250 metre fifth race.
Mentored on the track by Will Clarken Lucky Lucky Eight was well placed.Jamie Kah brought up a race to race double when she guided wicked Affair to a win in the 1250 metre sixth race.
Trained and part owned by David Jolly Wicked Affair was another winner to race one off the pace until he sprinted away late the event.Apprentice Dylan Caboche guided Reheeba brought up his second successive win when he took out the 1400 metre seventh race.
Being under the care of young Morphettville trainer Chris Bieg Raheeba came from a worse than midfield position to snatch victory.Jestwin brought up his fifth win from twenty nine starts when he took out the 1550 metre final event.
Guided to victory by Justin Potter the Nicole Bruggermann prepared Jestwin came with a withering run from being well back to win.
