Omei Sword wins 2016 Alpha Flight Silver Shadow Group 2 $175,000 at Randwick (NSW) 3yoFillies, 1200m.

Omei Sword is a highly promising filly. Having her first start since April and at only her fourth race start, she scored an excellent first-up win. She settled in sixth place, one off the rails, moved up well nearing the home turn, swept to the front at the 200m and then raced away for a most impressive win.

Arrowfield raced filly Bacarella settled in fourth place, one out and one back, before moving up coming to the home turn. She challenged at the 200m and then fought well for a good second. Although having no chance with the winner, she is clearly a promising filly.

Quick Feet was seventh on the rails but was shuffled back a bit at the home turn. She improved in the centre at the 200m and then ran on well for a good third.
