Perfectly positioned three back on the outer, as a fast pace ensued, Vespa still had five lengths to make up at the 300m but quickly asserted his superiority with a good turn of foot and won easing down at the line.
Responsible for the fast tempo, Angelica Hall showed her natural agility to cross and lead from barrier nine. She slipped away with a two length advantage at the 300m and fought tenaciously to hold second.
Miss Foxwood finished strongly from three back on the inner to claim third, just ahead of Marotiri Miss who ran on with plenty of endeavour from eight to finish (2 lengths) fourth, and Cosmic Cube produced a game finish for a close fifth having been handily placed in fourth on the rail throughout.
