Miss Steele won the last at Morphettville on Goodwood Cup day.

Miss Steele was away well from her inside barrier but was allowed to find her feet and settled down fifth last on the fence about seven lengths from the leader Classy Chloe.

She travelled well approaching the home turn and stayed to the inside on turning for home before quickening away smartly, going clear at the top of the straight. She stayed hard against the fence and proved far the better in the run to the line.

Octavia was used up from her wide barrier (11) to race in second position three wide. She cornered very wide and battled on strongly the whole way to the line for second. The winner and runner up were a long way apart in the straight and she ran her race against the horses she finished amongst.

Girl Guide had every chance in the run coming from sixth between runners. She had clear running in the straight but failed to really pick up, staying on soundly for third.
