Miracles Of Life returned to winning ways, claiming the Sportingbet Stakes at Morphettville.

Miracles Of Life was away well today and raced outside the leader Classy Jack. She travelled quite well, but was under a bit of pressure shortly after straightening. But she then responded well, grabbed the lead at the 100m and drew clear for a decisive win.

The other three-year-old filly in the race, Jazz Song was fifth on the rails and switched between runners rounding the home turn. She went to fourth at the 200m and continued to battle on in good fashion for a sound second.

Classy Jack showed his customary pace and led the field until half-way down the straight, before tiring for third.

Eclair Big Bang was sixth, one off the rails, but raced a bit keenly in stages. He moved up (wide) nearing the home turn, put in a run at the 200m and then battled on for (2.9 lengths) fourth.

The Quarterback ($3 fav) remained near the tail of the eight-horse on the rails. He switched between runners nearing the turn and fanned deep on straightening. But he finished only fairly over the latter stages to finish (5.2 lengths) fifth.
