Prentice prevailed in a narrow finish to win the WA Sires' Produce.

Prentice came with a determined finish to prove slightly the better of the game Dancing Express in a tight two way finish.

Prentice raced in sixth position three wide with a trail. He over raced in the middle stages of the race in what was a muddlingly run race. He cornered four and five wide and worked home determinedly under hard riding to win at long odds.

Dancing Express enjoyed a lovely run in fifth position on the fence behind the leaders. He got a run between horses at the 250m and took the lead inside the final 100m, but he could not fend of the late lunge of the winner on his outside. A solid performance.
