He resumed with a third behind Lanciato who then went on to win the Carrington Stakes (1400m).

Three weeks later, Show A Star was well supported and delivered when leading throughout over 1500m at Rosehill.

Early signs following the transfer are encouraging and on Saturday strikes what on paper looks an ideal race third run from a spell.

Already the subject of early support, Show A Star takes on just six rivals in the second last race of the day.

Of those, only four sit inside the handicap.

Show A Star half a kilo above the minimum weight has a real sense of timing.

That is enhanced courtesy of strong third up and distance credentials.

Earlier in the card, Zourkhan appeals at his current each way quote contesting the Davali Thoroughbreds Benchmark 84 Cup (2400m).

Zourkhan has performed well in each of his three runs this prep which commenced with a second behind the talented Sedanzer.

His subsequent fourths at Randwick behind stablemates Hogmanay and Carzoff have each possessed merit.

The French import should be peaking at this stage of his prep and is a proven stayer having shed his maiden tag over 2800m in France at Saint Cloud.

An additional positive about Zourkhan is the fact he is proven at Warwick Farm, claiming his first Australian success at the track in his third run for the Waller stable back in June 2016.

Currently fourth favourite in an eight horse field, Zourkhan deserves a look at his $6.00 quote.
