Hanwritten will look to improve off his first up effort when he lines up in the Programmed Property Class 6 over 1110m at Doomben on Saturday.
The Matthew Dunn-trained runner was disappointing when running fifth in a Benchmark 90 first up but his form last campaign was very good and he also possesses a good second up record.
The lightly raced seven-year-old gelding will have the services of Jeff Lloyd who goes back on board and would expect him to settle a bit closer today from barrier 7.
On best form Hanwritten rates well clear of his rivals and the slight step up in trip should suit as well.
His first up run was well below what he produced last campaign and I would expect him to push forward today, put himself in the race and take plenty of running down.
The current price of $3.50 looks a good bet for what he is capable of producing and expect him to return to the winners circle today.
Sheiswhatsheis is another who has let us down in recent times, coming off a last start fourth in open company over the 1615m on the back of a good win the start prior.
Has been a regular bet for us in Brisbane and with the 3kg claim for Jag Guthmann-Chester she was too good a proposition to let go.
Right down in the weights with just the 53.5kg and from barrier 2 will find the lead much easier than she has the last couple from wider draws.
The Tony Gollan-trained runner is certainly the class of the race and she looks to have plenty in her favour in this.
Happy to take the $2.80 currently on offer and she can certainly return to the winners circle in what appears and easier assignment.
Good Luck!
