Now a four-year-old taking on the older horses, Countofmontecristo is right down in the weighs today and if he runs up to his form of last campaign he will take plenty of stopping.
With Glen Boss to take the ride again, Countofmontecristo is no certainty to start the race as first emergency but if he gets a run he looks right up to beating these.
Should the Michael Clements-trained runner not get a start Nova Swiss was far from disgraced when midfield in the same company last start, battling on well enough in the straight to finish fifth.
