Racing returns to Doomben this Saturday which will feature a nine race programme following the completion of the winter carnival.
Irish Constabulary has been racing very well in tougher company of late and comes off a strong effort for second over this C/D in G3 company last start.
This is the easiest race he has contested in sometime and with an outstanding record not only at the course but the distance as well he shapes up as the one to beat.
Jeff Lloyd who has a good record on the lightly raced eight-year-old remains on board and from the inside draw could find himself a touch closer than he has been the last couple.
With form around some handy gallopers of late in stakes company, Irish Constabulary looks among one of the better bets of the day on a very tough card of racing.
Happy to take him at the current price of $3.80 with many of his rivals not in the strongest of form in recent times.
Later in the programme Cruising Speed will look to continue her strong form when lining up in the Class 6 over 1350m.
The four-year-old mare has come back in very good order since coming to Brisbane, running a narrow second first up before going on to win over this C/D in similar company last start.
Third up today is open to further improvement and Jeff Lloyd who rode for the first time last start remains on board.
Has more weight to carry in this but from barrier six should roll forward again and she could even get out to each way odds with the current price $4.80.
Has won when third up previously and is going as good as any in this field and certainly looks a strong chance to make it two wins on the bounce.
Good Luck
