Day 3 of the Masters kicks off at Ascot on Saturday with the Group 1 Kingston Town Stakes the key highlight of the nine race card.
In what is one of the strongest renewals in recent memory, star mare Perfect Reflection currently heads the market ahead of Railway Stakes victor Scales Of Justice and five time Group 1 winner Kawi.
While not beaten far first up in the Group 3 Vanity Stakes [1400m], Perfect Reflection failed to fire in the Australian Guineas and was sent back home.
Off the scene for 224 days, Perfect Reflection failed to win first up before displaying sharp improvement when winning the Waroa-Lee Steere Stakes [1400m].She was sent out the 7-2 favourite in the Railway Stakes and while unable to win, her performance behind Scales Of Justice held plenty of merit.
Perfect Reflection is unbeaten racing fourth up and notably won this event last year, when narrowly edging out star stablemate Delicacy. The return to weight-for-age certainly helps swing the race back in her favour and no doubt this has been her long term goal.
Her performance in the Railway Stakes suggests she is racing as well as ever and has successfully made the transition from her three-year-old season. As much as 3-1 is being offered about her chances which is a more than worthy gamble as we have her marked closer to a 2-1 shot.
Due to contest the seventh event, Wink And A Nod is very well placed on best form and notably comes into this on the fresh side (28 days).
The Durban Demon has been booked and while drawn a touch awkwardly she is definitely worth a ticket at her good each-way odds.At her best you could easily mark her favourite and hence is well worth the gamble.
As a side note, on Saturday TopBetta will host its Day 3 of the Ascot Carnival Tournament ($1K Total Prize Pool), with the nine race card being the sole focus. Click Here To Check It Out .BET OF THE DAY: Race 8 #16 Perfect Reflection @ $4.00
