It pays to keep Mick Price on side when racing goes to Caulfield and that is just what the Melbourne Mail intends to do this weekend.
The Mick Price stable has a pretty good record wherever they go but when they are playing at home they are hard to beat. 1198 runners at home have, quite remarkably, returned a positive profit on turnover for punters of 4.5%.

Price saddles up several key chances among his nine runners at Caulfield on Saturday, the pick of them - in the Melbourne Mail's eyes anyway - Duke Of Brunswick in Race 6.
Duke of Brunswick has probably been a touch costly this preparation, turned over at the top of the market in all three runs, but he has run credibly in all three and perhaps the return to Caulfield is the key to turning his good form into profitable form.
His wheels spun on shifty ground around Moonee Valley last time and he was unable to reel in a good winner in Voodoo Lad but his effort there was, by Racing And Sports' measure, better than any of the recent form on offer against him today.
Now he goes to 1400m, keeps the inside draw and top jock Dwayne Dunn, and looks to get a genuine tempo with several natural speed horses engaged in the race.
It's time to deliver and we think that the scenario is spot on for him to do just that. - better than $3.00 looks more than generous.

In Race 3 the stable sends out what looks a terrific each way play in Yulong Baby.
Yulong Baby was below her best first up from a break but that was to be expected. The key was that she wasn't so far below her best to think that it wasn't well within reach this campaign.
She found the line nicely over 1400m and the numbers around her performance point to her quickly picking up 2-3 lengths second and third up. 1700m on her home track looks a positive scenario for her - particularly when we consider the stable's record.
It would be no coincidence that her best form last preparation came at Caulfield and that form rates highly enough to make her as good a winning chance as any tomorrow.
