Never a drama following Chris Waller at any time and we’re hoping to find some value linking it through to our TopBetta Tournament plays.
Waller often has multiple runners and so playing the rougher of them provides good value in the market place.
That said our first play is on a horse who is the only stable representative in its race.
Looking at the first up record, more than happy to be backing You'll Never in the Carrington Stakes over the 1400m.
It is not a big field so it won’t be overly fast early on and because of that he will not be giving away a big start.
He loves slow tracks but handles it dry as well. Is clearly going well for Waller to put him straight into a Listed race given most of his career has been in benchmark style racing.
Hardly a drawback having Hugh Bowman riding the gelding either.
Now we can find some value for the Tournament in staying with the leading stable where in the last Loving Home is now second up.
He had one run this time in when racing midfield over the Randwick mile. He got moving early and was near level up the rise before fading the last bit.
Since then has trialled again but critically is up to the 2000m where he lifted last preparation doing similar things.
Once more we get Bowman on and when they spread as they oft do at Randwick, you’re happy to have him aboard picking the gaps.
