Kiwi Karma Ready To Peak

The Michael Clements trained Kiwi Karma appears set to peak racing third up and should prove very hard to beat in the eighth event at Singapore this evening.

An alarming drifter first up, Kiwi Karma proceeded to run accordingly when finishing fourth behind the progressive Kam's Comet.

Marked well below her best, Kiwi Karma notably returned 14kg heavier than when last seen which helps to suggest she definitely needed the run.

Although unable to salute at her next outing, the daughter of Fast 'N' Famous proved very game in defeat, finishing a close third with the big weight.

Marked shy of her career best form, Kiwi Karma is expected to improve again and gets the added bonus of returning to the turf track.

In ten attempts she has won five and placed on a further three occasions.

Following a similar profile to her last preparation she appears on track to reach the form that saw her narrowly beaten in the Group 1 Lion City Cup [1200m] last year.

On that occasion she finished fourth, but was only beaten a neck behind superstar galloper War Affair.

Proceeding to then finish fourth in the Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint [1200m], there is no question she possesses a distinct class edge on her rivals.

Formerly trained by Laurie Laxon, Kiwi Karma has raced in great order since joining Michael Clements' care in January last year.

A winner of three of her eight starts since, Kiwi Karma has continued to return ratings well ahead of her 2YO campaign.

Unseen for 35 days she has since trialled very well in the lead up and with Manoel Nunes back on, she certainly ticks a lot of boxes.

Under the weight scale she is extremely well placed and has drawn to receive all the favours on the inside.

There is definitely a sense of timing about her preparation and do expect her to come out on top.

The Shane Baertschiger trained Blue Swede notched up his seventh career win last start and returned a new career peak in the process.

Always quite highly touted his record at this course and distance is very impressive and while meeting Kiwi Karma worse off at the weights he still has to be respected.

His trial behind the latter was very good when not knocked about and while likely to get back, he will be charging home late.

Stablemate to Kiwi Karma, Darci Charmer raced in great form last preparation and while better over further he cannot be taken lightly fresh.

Tried in Group company prior to a break, he wasn't beaten all that far and rates highly in this line up on best form.

Unseen for 89 days, he notably hasn't trialled in the lead up so do expect him to race quite fresh and has to be respected.

Of the rest the Stephen Gray trained Raise No Doubt appears the next in line.

A winner of five of his 15 starts, he is only lightly raced for a five-year-old and has always held quite the "boom".

Admittedly he does have a bit too find on the leading contenders, however he gets his chance down in the weights and cannot be taken lightly with the in-form Corey Brown sticking back aboard.

Good luck and happy punting.
