The gelding has a winnable weight and won’t ever get too far behind in a race like this.

Might get some value earlier with Surging Wave in the staying race.

The Lindsay Park horse ran at Benalla on 2 October and that was a bit of a leaderish track that day so not surprising he struggled to make up ground.

Like the fact he’s straight to these types of distances as he’s no hope racing at shorter than that.

He won his last race before a spell at Pakenham and he finds a race here where he may get last shot at them.

It was 18 months ago and yet seemingly a lifetime back but he actually ran in three Derbies this horse.
