Nautical comes up second pick on the weekend with the ‘Weir-factor’ kicking into overdrive.
Nautical found the right race last time and got the job done. Granted she didn’t beat much but tipping that those in behind her were flattered and she will confirm the form over them here.
Atlantis Dream comes up favourite here but she too comes off a modest affair last time out and she was beaten. She’s the horse to take out of that race, sure, but she’s got more to do here.
The ‘Weir-factor’ has hardly been misplaced this season; he’s flying, particularly in town, but Nautical has the edge here on form and we can bet again the hot yard with that in our pocket.
La Venta is another with good promise and she is feared at least as much as Atlantis Dream.
With that in mind we are happy to take Atlantis Dream on at the price and make her the ‘one to avoid’ for the day. Her current quote of $3.40 well under the $5.00 we have her marked.
The Winter Championship is typically a good betting race and this year is no different.
The numbers point towards Ringo and Akavoroun taking all the beating here, after running 1-2 last time, and at early odds we can gamble up on the pair of them.
There is depth to the race, Fast ‘n’ Free among a handful that have to be respected, but a couple look to be making the market somewhat for our two which leads to a good betting opportunity.
