Southwell Racecourse have announced they will open the gates to the public for City Of Troy's racecourse gallop on 20 September, as the colt prepares for a tilt at the Breeders' Cup. Coolmore are intending to bring over American-style starting stalls to replicate conditions for the race, and it is a tried and tested process – both Galileo and Giant's Causeway worked at the track before trips Stateside.

Charyn and Notable Speech feature amongst the entries for the Group 1 Prix Moulin at Longchamp on Sunday, which also includes Aidan O'Brien's Henry Longfellow and French-trained Big Rock. It will be a return to France for the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois winner Charyn, who has gone from strength to strength as a four-year-old, having recorded an epic Royal Ascot success in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes. Notable Speech made a successful transition into open company when taking the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and will be hoping to land another top-flight victory.

The Richard Hannon-trained Haatem will miss the remainder of the season after picking up a minor injury in the preliminaries before the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois. The three-year-old colt finished in the frame in both the English and Irish 2000 Guineas before enjoying his own day in the sun at Royal Ascot, winning the seven-furlong Jersey Stakes. Connections have confirmed Haatem will return as a four-year-old.

Andrew Balding's Bellum Justum is expected to continue his international exploits, following a victory in the Nashville Derby at Kentucky Downs last week. Connections have identified possible targets in the Middle East next year for the colt, who has rewarded the Balding team with placings in both the Hampton Court Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.
