Exalted Fire can continue his ultra consistent form since joining the Michael Hickmott stable on the Parks at Morphettville on Saturday.
The five-year-old has finished out of the placings just three times from 13 starts since joining the Murray Bridge horseman, a $28,600 purchase from the dispersal sale of the late Ken Smith and wife Helen last August, Exalted Fire has proven an astute buy having banked connections $114,685 over the past year.
Exalted Fire was a gutsy Gawler winner last time out and will again be ridden by Campbell Rawiller who returns to Adelaide to continue their strong partnership.
Rawiller enjoyed a successful end to the season having mixed flat riding with success over the jumps back home in Victoria, and boasts two wins, two seconds and a third from five rides aboard the galloper.
"We've really clicked,'' Rawiller said.
"The team have done a great job with the horse, and I've been lucky enough to get on him at the right time.
"I think he's a live chance again on Saturday. I think a better track this time around he can improve three lengths on last start,'' he said.
Rawiller also partners the Ryan Balfour-trained Deevine at Morphettville before returning to Victoria on Sunday for six rides at Casterton.
"It's going to be a busy weekend and a lot of time in the car,'' Rawiller said.
"I've really enjoyed mixing riding over the jumps and coming to Adelaide, hopefully I can get a bit more success this weekend,'' he said.
