Last start Rosehill winner Madotti is set to tackle a strong field in Thursday’s $100,000 Wyong Magic Millions Stakes after the weather forced him out of Saturday’s meeting at Randwick.
Trainer Matt Dunn scratched Madotti from his Randwick engagement due to the heavy track conditions in the knowledge that he had the 4YO nominated for Thursday’s big Magic Millions meeting at Wyong.
Madotti and stablemate Perfect Dare are among 20 entries for Thursday’s Magic Millions 3&4YO Stakes (1200m) at Wyong that include interstate nominations Dam Ready (Hayes/Dabernig) and Golden Spin (Lee and Anthony Freedman).
The other entries include classy Sydney-trained winners Egyptian Symbol (Bjorn Baker), Mediterranean (Peter and Paul Snowden) and Magic Alibi (Gerald Ryan).Thursday $200,000 Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1100m) at Wyong has attracted 16 nominations including the Lindsay Park-trained Madeenaty, the ruling favourite for the $2 million Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast on January 14.
Madeenaty won the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes before finishing third in the G3 Ottawa Stakes at the Flemington spring carnival.Other entries include last start winners Madame Moustache (Chris Waller), Arrestar Matt Dunn), Deneeky (Kris Lees), the Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott trio of Dinnigan, Madonnica and Undaunted and promising youngsters Falconic (Gary Portelli) and All Too Huiying.
The unraced entries include smart trial performers Radiant Force (Team Hawkes) and Oenophile (Bjorn Baker).
