Dual Group 1-winner Pride of Dubai will carry the topweight of 60.5kg when he makes his return to racing in Saturday’s Eskimo Prince Stakes at Randwick.

The colt drew gate five in the field of 11 for the Group 3 feature over 1200 metres.

Pride of Dubai hasn’t raced since winning the Group 1 double of the Blue Diamond Stakes and ATC Sires Produce Stakes but has trialled twice to prepare for his return.

He is one of two Peter and Paul Snowden-trained runners in the field with Magic Millions Maiden winner Wolf Cry drawing gate eight.

Chris Waller had multiple entries but accepted with just two, Counterattack drawing gate two and Torgersen jumping from four.

John O’Shea was another that had multiple entries but also finished with two acceptors in Tarquin for James McDonald from gate three and Shards for Sam Clipperton drawing barrier nine.

Zoutenant has his first run for Gai Waterhouse and will be ridden by Brenton Avdulla from gate one while the consistent Voilier (Kathy O’Hara) jumps from six and Spill The Beans (Tim Clark) resumes from stall seven.

Last-start winners Le Romain and Cannyescent both had tough luck at the barrier draw coming up with gates 10 and 11 respectively.
