Stewards updates and veterinary reports on horses engaged in The Championships at Randwick.

• Arabian Gold – Following a report from trainer David Vandyke earlier this week that Arabian Gold was lame in the off-fore leg due to a corn, Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann this morning inspected Arabian Gold, subsequent to the mare working. Dr Suann reported Arabian Gold has responded well to treatment and was passed fit to take its place in the Doncaster Mile.

• Rising Romance – Subsequent to its withdrawal from the BMW on Saturday 28 March 2015 due to a bruised off-fore heel, the Donna Logan stable has reported that Rising Romance has please the stable. They advised that Rising Romance had bar plates applied, galloped yesterday morning with no issue and had completed pace work this morning. They added it was the intention to race the mare in standard plates should the Randwick surface not be too firm. The stable veterinarian will inspect Rising Romance this afternoon and Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann will inspect Rising Romance tomorrow afternoon prior to the mare taking her place in Saturday’s Chairman’s Handicap at Royal Randwick.

• Ruling Dynasty - Co-Trainer James Cummings yesterday reported to Racing NSW Stewards that Ruling Dynasty, which is engaged to race in the BMW Australian Derby, had sustained an abscess to its off-fore foot which has now had a poultice applied. Mr Cummings advised that the stable will monitor the progress of the colt to assess its response to the treatment. Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann will inspect the colt tomorrow afternoon prior to it taking its place in the Derby.

• Loved Up – Trainer Brett Cavanough has advised Racing NSW Stewards that Loved Up, which is accepted to start in the Country Championship Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday, sustained a minor eye injury during its last start in the Albury Guineas on 27 March 2015. Mr Cavanough has advised that the filly has responded well to treatment and is fit to take its place in the final. Loved Up will be examined by Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann when it arrives on course.

• Himalaya Dream – Co-Trainer Michael Hawkes has advised that Himalaya Dream has been spelled following its disappointing performance in the Neville Sellwood Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on 28 March 2015
