Front Page Special For Saturday 30 March 2019
Rosehill Race 3 - 3 Platinum Invador - On a day with some well backed short favourites, we believe there is some tremendous value in backing a kiwi on his way to the Derby next week.
Looking to try the same path as Jon Snow and Levendi being the Tulloch/Derby double, Platinum Invador last ran in the New Zealand Derby where he came from basically last at the corner to flash home into third.
He’s been toughened up with some open class runs through his 3yo career and handles the wet too.
Bred to stay strongly, he now gets Blake Shinn from a good gate so won’t need to be back last in this smaller field.
Lisa Latta only two weeks ago trained the NZ Oaks winner so the stable is on a high and can have their 3yos peaking at the right time.
The punters may well be looking at a couple of other New Zealanders in the race but we reckon the near double figures on offer is a great play each way.
In metal form, Platinum may be silver in colour however we’ve got him in the gold medal position in the Tulloch Stakes.
