BLACKBOOKERS & TRIALS

Our Blackbook service provides punters with a great way to keep tabs on horses to follow. Remember you can always click on a horse from the Racing And Sports Database to blackbook it or go straight to our Blackbook section and maintain your stable runners there.

We’ve identified a few here from the last week which we think can make us some money in the near future.

Blackbookers

Nordic Empire

One of the more promising 2yos we have seen this season following his handy performance to score at Caulfield over the weekend. While not rated as high as previous stakes victors for this season, the time figure out of his latest win suggests he is heading in the right direction with the overall time comparatively recorded to be three lengths shy of Flamberge later in the day. Although on bare form he does have a bit to find on our current leading 2yos (Earthquake & Risen From Doubt) he is expected to measure up well in his next likely start, the Wyong Magic Millions as we feel he has enough scope to make that leap.

Girl In Flight

Promising filly from the Robbie Griffiths stable who proceeded to live up to the hype when proving impressive saluting at Caulfield last weekend. Settling towards the rear of the field, Ryan Maloney never appeared to be concerned by the slow tempo up front when he picked and weaved runs through the field to in the end score soft on the line. Displaying her ability to reel off fast closing sectional she appears a very capable filly moving forward and while she didn't beat much she appears destined to go on to bigger and better. Bred to be even more tractable over further Griffiths has indicated next year's Group 1 Australasian Oaks as a likely target and we see no reason why she won't measure up in that level of competition.

Club Command - Monday 29 October @ Randwick

Lightly raced galloper from the Peter Moody yard who boasts an impressive record of 13 starts for six wins and six minor placings. While the winner's stall may have eluded him throughout his last preparation he did show steady improvement with each visit to the races and was successful in recording a new career peak when saluting narrowly prior to a spell. Brought up north by the Moody camp, the son of Commands has proven ultra-impressive in his two latest trials having saluted by 4L in late November before saluting easily at Randwick on Monday. Coming from near the tail of the field he weaved his way nicely through the pack and let down impressively down the outside to salute easily. Recording one of the quickest times of the morning it is clear he has back in great order and will prove very competitive wherever he lines up first up.

Eligible Blackbooker Racing This Weekend

Some of the recent runners that have been Blackbooked by us are engaged this weekend and we think should be included in your punting thoughts.

Kensington Race 2 - 10 Dora 'N' Boots (off the trial)

The full sister to Group 3 winning galloper Hidden Warrior, this daughter of Hidden Dragon quickly proved the apple didn't fall far from the tree following a very impressive trial win at Rosehill during the week. Bouncing out well from the outside stall she pressed forward to lead and once finding the fence she was never headed thereafter, working to the line solidly under her own steam. The time out of this trial was a strong pointer for her performance as she successfully recorded the quickest time of the two-year-old heats and was only marginally slower than the open gallopers. Under the care of Chris Waller, she appears a nice filly moving forward and can be followed with confidence at her first start.
