After his stunning win in the Derby yesterday the question is being asked if Camelot will become the first horse since Nijinsky to win the triple crown.
He certainly has the makings of a truly exceptional horse and the question will be if he goes up in trip to the St Leger or possibly goes for the Arc. Time will tell.
His win was a wonderful father and son for the O'Briens and of course the stablemate Astrology stayed on for third, with Main Sequence separating them and then Thought Worthy and Mickdaam followed on. The win margin was 5 lengths with a nose separating second and third.
The Coronation Cup was another great victory for team O'Brien has St Nicholas Abbey seems to have regained that spark that he showed as a 2yo and he got an excellent win after a fast finishing Red Cadeaux was unable to get any closer. Red Cadeaux will now be aimed at a return to the Melbourne Cup in November.
Masked Marvel ran third, but altogether it was a fabulous day for the Coolmore Crowd!
