The Japanese tote has Sadamu Patek, to be ridden by Craig Williams, as favourite for tomorrow's G1 at Fuchu on 7.0.
Apapane, the former TripleTiara winner, is second favourite on 8.3, Strong Return on 8.5 and the probably leader Silport on 9.3.
The two Hong Kong runners are value with Lucky Nine the current 7th pick on 11.8 and Glorious Days the 9th pick on 13.5.
There are rain showers forecast for tomorrow which if they fall during the races will not help Glorious Days. We have discovered that there have been other Hussonet runners in Japan one of whom Noble Stone had a couple of wins over 1400m, and another of them won at some stage. Noble Stone is interesting as he is related to Deep Impact on the dam side.
Lucky Nine has finally drawn a gate and connections were delighted with this. He's also drawn alongside Strong Return, second in this race last year. He was off injured for some time but his return run was encouraging and he has a nice turn of foot.
Glorious Days has Silport as a neighbour and they may be tempted to go forward as Silport will almost certainly lead.
Some of these runners are normally seen over longer distances and we can't really see them becoming milers overnight - Pelusa and Rose Kingdom being two of them. Last year's winner Real Impact has been very disappointing of late.
Garbo is an interesting runner - he's 6th pick on 10.5 - he won the Lord Derby Challenge at Nakayama over the 1600m, but that was G3 and this will be tougher. He's also won over the mile at Tokyo.
There is also a group race at the end of the program but we will update on that one in the morning.
