Saturday's meeting at Sha Tin saw an emotional farewell to Sacred Kingdom, one of Hong Kong's favourite horses.

On the track it was Wah May Star who grabbed the headlines as he continued his excellent run.

With a wet track in Macau it did indeed prove to be more suitable for the local runners, and the Macau Moore started off in great style with a quinella in the first race (Dr Sweet and My Dark Chocolate) and followed up with Viva Pronto winning the Macau Hong Kong Trophy. Jazza Bell was a surprise second and we were delighted with the run of Luen Yat Forever who ran third. Kyara was the best of the Hong Kong runners in fifth.

The Chairman's Challenge Cup saw Zac Purton bring Power Alkhafif to the winner's enclosure beating the favourite Luck of Smiling. And Olivier Doleuze got a win on Elderly Paradise in the Macau Derby.
