Steve Burridge's Singapore slashers have chalked up yet another win with Dark Matter winning his second Dubai start in the Duty Free Handicap over 1400m turf and Musir winning the G2 Al Rashidya.
Dark Matter scored a short head win over Abaasil in a head-bobber finish. Since coming to Singapore he has managed the increase in distance without any problems. However Burridge has lost one of his galaxy as Apache Crown sustained a track work injury and will go home to Singapore to recuperate.
Musir, the Redoute's Choice - Dizzy de Lago product, never looked like there was a problem anywhere in a very convincing win in the Al Rashidya. There was no pace in the race but Soumillon kept Musir in touch in third for most of the run. Musir was the winner of the UAE Derby in 2010 and won the first round of the Al Maktoum Challenge two weeks previously. City Style was second, Marcret third having led for most of the race. Presvis as usual came from the back of the field but seemed to be in need of the run as he couldn't catch the leaders.
